Welcome! Our group’s research focuses on heating and squishing metals in various new and exciting ways to better understand their associated microstructural evolution, having a particular fascination with texture evolution, recovery, and recrystallization. By combining experimental characterization using advance electron microscopy techniques with computational prediction and analysis, we aim to bridge macroscopic processing phenomena to micro- and nanoscale mechanisms, enabling the development of better processing pathways for aerospace, automotive, and other engineering applications.
