The MONSTER research group is usually looking to fill PhD positions in the area of quantitative characterization of microstructure and the relationship of microstructure and properties to metals processing science. Qualified candidates should have (or be prepared to learn) basic laboratory skills and basic coding skills, but prior metallurgy experience is not required.

Our research group is always willing to hear from interested undergraduate students looking for research opportunities or senior research projects! No research background necessary, just a willingness to work and learn.
